Statkraft’s educational project benefited 180 students from Pachachaca and Santa Isabel

Statkraft Peru, as part of its corporate responsibility program in the communities within the area of direct influence of its operations, handed out school supplies and gear for the Virgen María school located in the San Miguel de Pachachaca community, in the Junín region, and to the César Vallejo school located in the Santa Isabel village, in the Pasco region.

The Virgen María school, located within the area of influence of the Pachachaca hydropower plant and operated by Statkraft Peru, was the recipient of several physical-motor development gear such as stools, mats, balls, cones, etc., which will benefit 40 students this year. On the other hand, the César Vallejo school, located in the Santa Isabel village, was the recipient of basic supplies for the science laboratory such as pipettes, beakers, thermometers, test tubes, etc., thus benefiting more than 140 local students. During the donation, Eduardo Celis, principal of the César Vallejo school, located in the Santa Isabel Community, commented that “this is a valuable contribution, as our work until now had been to share knowledge, but with all these new equipment and tools students will complement their learning with practical knowledge.

In this manner, Statkraft actively contributes to the improvement of education in the country by engaging and keeping mutual cooperation with the schools within the area of influence of its operations, aiming at ensuring sustainable development.
