Statkraft celebrates 120 years of global operations

Statkraft, a leading company in hydropower internationally and Europe’s largest generator of renewable energy, celebrated 120 years of global operations. In view of this occasion, an exclusive cocktail reception was held, and its main officers and strategic partners in the country were invited.
“We are proud to have the support and global expertise that permitted us to undertake sound investment commitments in the country. At present we seek to optimize the potential of our assets to continue with our role as one of the main hydropower generators in the country. We are also involved and committed to the fight against climate change, to high ethical standards and the fight against corruption,” said Juan Antonio Rozas, Country Manager of Statkraft in Peru.
The former Vice Minister of Energy and Mines, Juan Miguel Cayo, the managers of different companies from the electrical sector, as well as representatives from the business community were in attendance at the celebration.
It should be noted that Statkraft is present in Peru since 2003, and today operates 8 hydropower plants. In August, the Cheves Hydropower Plant will start operations, and will contribute with 171.68 MW to the grid.
