The best thing Statkraft gave me was the opportunity to grow and develop my competences
“If you get an opportunity like that, it is up to you to get the most out of it, solving problems, helping others with their questions, and completing your assignments to the best of your abilities.”

Alfredo joined the energy sector when he was 23 years old, and had the opportunity to take part in a scholarship program (internship) for the Electricity and Telecommunication Department in Centromin. Subsequently, when the company was privatized, he was employed by Electroandes.
There he learned how to solve problems in a practical manner. Having also witnessed the changes in the incorporation of the company was an opportunity for him as it taught him how to easily adapt to a new culture and top management. He also worked in the commercial area, which provided him with a general vision of the business, with which to lead the operation and maintenance area for the benefit of the company. He then spent some time in project management where he learned that even with comprehensive planning, the behavior of projects during their execution tends to differ from one another, and that one should always be quick to act to resolve issues.
Thanks to his business expertise and leadership skills, Alfredo currently heads the P area, a business unit that is a leader in innovation and competences in Statkraft Peru.
